If you’re learning about WordPress and looking for some help getting started, here’s a presentation I gave at the Melbourne WordPress Meetup going over downloading and installing WordPress using cPanel, setting up a MySQL database, as well as a few other tips for getting you up and running with a new website.
Someone at the Meetup did mention that it isn’t a good idea to show the password during the presentation. The passwords used in the example (and in the slides) were used to illustrate the installation process for demonstration purposes. The site and database was removed shortly after the live demo. Always keep your actual passwords secure 🙂
